Make Humans Stop Hurting Each Other

Why can’t we just make humans stop injuring one another?

When you use the word “make“ it makes me wonder if you’re proposing some sort of genetic engineering? If so then you’re looking to play God. If not then I’m uncertain as to how you want to implement the idea of ‘making’ people avoid injuring one another. In my faith tradition all of us are born with a sin nature. Therefore, we are prone to injure each other out of a predisposition towards selfishness and narcissism.

The secret to overcoming this tendency is to accept something called Grace. This is a supernatural fuel supply which permits us to overcome and transcend any injuries that occur. It’s a sort of secret, spiritual resource available to His followers.  Grace is the power and desire to act according to God’s will, not our own. He certainly doesn’t want us to deliberately or accidentally injure one another. He greatly prefers that we show kindness and love instead.  His Son, Jesus said, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

Now and Then, Here and There, This and That

Mankind has an insatiable hunger for discovery. We delight in scientific and technological advances. The microchip has democratized access to information in the last few decades, ushering in a knowledge revolution unseen since Gutenberg’s printing press in the 1430s. Concepts may now be conceived, tested, revised, discarded and implemented in

Why do so many people still believe in things people believed 2000 years ago like creationism and a flat-earth?  There is so much evidence for new theories like evolution.

The scientific, not faith-based, evidence for ex-nihilo, instantaneous, organized creation is abundant. The 1st and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics insist on a time when the universe was fully “wound up”. It is not eternal. What amazes me is the suspension of intellect that Darwinian evolutionists perform because of their deep

Preparing for the Family “Business”

Worshipping “Me”

In this era man has rapidly transferred his allegiance and devotion away from God and toward himself. As in Babel, Sodom, ancient Israel, and ancient Greece, man has begun afresh to worship his own image. In a fit of narcissism, he has displaced the living God as the central focus

The Biblical Perspective of World History, Part 2

All of human history has been witness to man’s vain attempt to set up civil, economic and religious power centers to satiate an unyielding hunger to rule — to fulfill the original Dominion Mandate by perverse means. Without acknowledging God, man is still compelled by this invisible and ancient motivation
