The scientific, not faith-based, evidence for ex-nihilo, instantaneous, organized creation is abundant. The 1st and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics insist on a time when the universe was fully “wound up”. It is not eternal. What amazes me is the suspension of intellect that Darwinian evolutionists perform because of their deep refusal to believe in a supreme, creating intellect (a Prime Mover). Believing that DNA itself is a byproduct of chance and time is just outrageous.

Like so many philosophical/ spiritual questions, this one has a false premise built into it. Let’s reframe your important question. I’ll agree that God created nature, the Earth, sun, moon and the galaxies. But He made it “good”, not perfect. He delegated governing authority to mankind, with a mandate to add tremendous value to the Creation, with one clear stipulation: man was never to partake of a particular tree which would activate his power to choose.

I can quietly assure you that I have already found peace with God. It’s encouraging to know that others can do the same. The result of the search is a confidence that transcends human analysis or understanding. Why? It begins with faith, a quality that defies reason and logic. Just in case you are wondering, I’m not blindly buying what some backwoods preacher has sold me. In fact, my friends tease me for being hyper-analytical.

When you use the word “make“ it makes me wonder if you’re proposing some sort of genetic engineering? If so then you’re looking to play God. If not then I’m uncertain as to how you want to implement the idea of ‘making’ people avoid injuring one another. In my faith tradition all of us are born with a sin nature. Therefore, we are prone to injure each other out of a predisposition towards selfishness and narcissism.

Some people come to believe in God because they acknowledge their capacity and desire for worship. They realize that mankind is ‘overengineered’ for this world, capable of vision-casting, innovation and harnessing natural resources for the greater good. They sense a presence of love, from others and toward others, that cannot be rationally explained, so they turn to God for that reason.

There is a massive and unfortunate premise in your question which implies that God is in “control” and is therefore responsible for suffering. If you follow Judeo-Christian theology, you’ll notice that after Creation, in Genesis 1:26, man was given delegated, governmental authority over this planet. Eventually, by defying one simple edict, eating from one Tree, Adam ceded that authority to God’s sworn enemy, Satan, who is the very personification of evil.

Authentic believers in the Lord Jesus would never assume your morals are beneath theirs. Intolerant religious people certainly might, but they are more interested in you following their narrow-minded theological rulebook than in having you receive the unconditional love of God.

While not claiming to speak for all non-believers (although I used to be one), I believe that many such people are actually searching for deep truths. They are continuously and severely disappointed by “religious” people who repetitively quote banal phrases while claiming to have profound beliefs. In other words, there is so little substance, and no depth of understanding in so many religious folks that it creates a mockery of their faith. Secondly, the believer often appears arrogant and self-righteous, which is offensive.

God doesn’t have an IQ, since “Intelligence Quotient” is a relative term, not an absolute one. It compares one person’s intellect to others. Typically, IQ is measured by dividing one’s mental age by their chronological age.

My friend, you’ve got the sequence and the logic a little off. The Creator God has a plan; He is intentional and strategic. Here’s the backstory. God created this universe as a 3-dimensional colony of heaven, His Kingdom’s headquarters. He formed man’s body from the newly created place, Earth, but then breathed His Spirit into Adam’s nostrils.
